Metro Cafe Diner in Stone Mountain

The food was great and the service was even better. Our waitress’ name was Selena and she was amazing. She was so considerate and knowledgeable. She told the cooks my sons hamburger was to undercooked for her to serve it and then took my daughter up to the cakes to help her pick out one. She was so sweet also. I haven’t had service like that in a very long time.

I have only ever gotten desert here. I got pies from here for my family's Christmas dinner. They are very proud of their pastries but rightfully so. We got a Reese's and a key lime pie both were very large and very good. Their price is little higher their competitors. Be ready for that before you go over there especially if you plan on getting a whole homemade cake or pie. I don't live in the Atlanta area but whenever I'm there I love to stop by just about every night and get a slice of cake or pie. They're hard to beat.

Ordered to go tonight, really disappointed. Ordered the club sandwich and the turkey had fatty slimy pieces on it, it was clearly just thrown together. Could only eat a couple bites and had to stop because it was gross. The kids chicken tenders were like the size of a thumb, so tiny. Only thing that saved it from one star is the cake, fries, and the ranch was really good. Don’t think I’ll be spending my money here again. At least not on anything other than cake. Money wasted 😔

This is one of my favorite places to eat! Any breakfast item delicious. To reccomend a non breakfast choice, go with the Gyro Platter. Ask for Eddie as your server-- great attitude, excellent service! Oh and the desserts... my favorite are the Blondie or Apple Crumb Cheesecake!

Food is always good and the cheesecake is sooooo amazing!! Restaurant is always clean and sanitary!

Last visit I had chicken noodle soup and it is one of the best that I tasted. Great fries too. Chicken and waffles very good.

We were staying at Stone Mountain Campground and was looking for a place for lunch. So glad we stopped in here! Not only was the food great and more than we could eat (leftovers are always wonderful), but we decided to treat ourselves to slices of cake. Omgosh!! The pieces were huge and absolutely delicious. There were also SO many options of flavors. I would certainly visit again, if and when, we are back in the area.

Good food; pleasant service in a classic diner ambience. Missing a couple of diner favs (no meatloaf ☹️), but worth it.

They were pretty busy with phone orders when I went, but keep calling (it's worth it)! Staff was really friendly with the pick up, but forgot the drinks we ordered, so we had to wait a bit. Might come back to try one of the cakes, they looked delicious!

I ordered a Caesar salad with salmon. The salmon was perfectly prepared and not overly salted, and the salad greens were exceptionally crisp. The only reason I gave four stars is because I don't feel our waiter was as attentive as he could have been. Overall, the experience was good.

I rate this place seven stars! The staff is amazing! Elisabeth is quite possibly the friendliest and amazing FOH staff member I can remember. She always goes above and beyond to make sure that my needs are met.I subtracted 3 stars for closing early on the weekends. ☹

Late-Night Munchies? Metro Cafe Diner Got You!Even though my caption says late-night munchies, they are only open until 11pm (downtown location open 24-hours) but the food is good ALL DAY! Fresh food, large portions, many menu options, good prices, friendly wait staff, and desserts to die for! Try it, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend.

The food is always outstanding especially the American burger the pita plate. I give it four stars because while the decor is really cute they need to recover the benches. They're a hot mess with rips and tears. The desserts are really beautiful and so far the two pieces of cake have not been to my taste however the last time I got a cheesecake the Reese's one and it was outstanding. The cakes are a little bit cold a little bit dense for my taste and the frosting a little too sweet. But overall, a gem!

I love the variety on their menu. My son loved the ribs. I had the chicken fajitas and they were delicious. Others in my party had the black bean burger, the American burger and fried chicken dinner. We all liked our meals. We all had dessert too. Two of us wanted the Crazy cake but they were out and didn't have one thawed. Bummer. We all liked ours except my hubby didn't like his German Chocolate cake. More like devil's food cake, very rich chocolate frosting and some coconut in the layers. Not like our version of German Chocolate. Service was excellent. We visit GA every year and I insist we come here at least once.

Great food! Very clean place. Staff is very friendly. Our server Eddie was providing us a premier service and was going above and beyond!

Service was great. Our order was taken quickly. Everything was cooked just right. I had the Veggie Nachos and my son had wings and fries. Food was sent out expeditiously and was delicious. Our server Nnaji was friendly, helpful, patient and knowledgeable. For our very first dining experience in Georgia..this was pretty good.

Good food. Huge portions for the price. Save room for dessert. I had the NY cheesecake but there were so many options it was overwhelming. One meal and I have enough leftovers for 2 more meals.

I tried the Char Broiled Salmon best I ever tasted from a restaurant. It was cook to perfection and perfectly seasoned. Great job to the Cook at Stone Mountain location. I will definitely come back and tell others.

This was the very first time that we've been to Metro Diner. We were very impressed when we walked in and saw how clean it was and how pleasant the ambience was the food was excellent! It is the best hamburger that my wife and I have ever eaten I believe me we have had hamburgers from different restaurants all over the world and that is no lie. We've had hamburgers in the Northwest and the Northeast Northwest Southwest Europe Switzerland and Metro Diner has the best ever! Our waitress was very nice and very kindest and very very very very very attentive we will be going back!

This wonderful place has excellent hours, reasonable prices on good food, friendly efficient wait staff and.... delicious cakes for dessert. Oh and drinks too if you're in the mood.

Great food! My son and I didn’t get to try the desserts (we were too full) but we might go back for some. Or food and our server was amazing. I couldn’t ask for more from a place. Whoever makes the cakes does a great job as far as presentation is concerned and I’m sure they’re as delicious as they look. Plus they were within walking distance of our hotel!

The good was great, fresh and hot. You get a nice portion but the service ...was shakey. Our waitress was definitely not attentive when she did show up. But I really enjoyed the food and the German chocolate cake is to die for. Huge piece of cake is definitely worth the $7. I will be back and hopefully I'll have a reason to tip.

This was my first time dining here. The service and staff was really good. I enjoyed the country catfish, a large satisfying portion, with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. Our server took great care of us!

Been to this place a couple of times, and it's usually a hit or miss. Service is sometimes great and other times subpar. The sandwiches and burgers are pretty good. Really disappointed by their lasagna though. Ordered pickup and the portion was absolutely tiny compared to everything else I've had there. It really looked like a kid's meal. It didn't help that it was all smashed too. Garlic bread was also completely squashed. Didn't look too appetizing but at least it tasted okay.

I go here at least twice per month. I love the food, service, atmosphere, friendly staff and very approachable manager. The restaurant is always very busy but the staff is also very accommodating. I love this place!!!

The food is pretty good. The service has always been nice. In regards to the menu I would say stick to "diner food". Basically any breakfast ,soup, wings ect. The only reason I gave 4 stars is b/c they used to be 24 hours but aren't any longer. Try one of the desserts especially the cake or pie. Huge slices!

Amazingly wonderful and the service was superb to be honest. The waitress was on top of her game and was very sociable, and made our 1 year old so happy by giving him crayons to draw with. The cheesecake and regular cake was phenomenal.
